With Royal Bank of Scotland agreeing to sell its 50% stake in "Tesco Personal Finance" back to the retail giant it opens the door to Tesco becoming a "Full Service Retail Bank" rather than a collection of "popular financial" products"

A survey by KPMG has revealed that the number of companies planning to cut staff has risen from 29% in the first three months of this financial year to 53%, also 52% say they will not be recruiting new staff in an effort to reduce costs.
Following this there is a warning to check your redundancy policies as Tribunal awards could cripple a small business

Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act came into force April 2008
It is suggested that Employers that allow Employees to use their own cars for business and pay Mileage, should look at their policies regarding this and make sure the policy covers items such as Road Worthiness, Servicing, Maintainance, Business Insurance,Tax. Also that a log be kept of each vehicle
