After receiving numerous telephone call regarding problems arising from the demise Of MFI, DASA has instructed it’s Solicitors on behalf of the membership to provide information that will be helpful in dealing with the administrators Or Debt collectors acting on their behalf.

Gas
Safe Register will replace CORGI gas registration in Great Britain on 1
April 2009. It will be the official industry stamp for gas safety.
The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, will oversee Gas Safe Register.
The
new register will provide enhanced levels of service and clearly
written rules of registration. There will also be new services and
benefits designed to improve the registration scheme and promote gas
safety.
The F gas Regulation (EC Regulation 842/2006 & GB Statutory Instrument 41) require companies repairing fridges and air-conditioning units to be registered by the 4th July 2009. Additionally all service personnel handling HFC refrigerants must be qualified.
This includes companies and personnel repairing domestic and light commercial retail refrigeration appliances using R134A and R404A refrigerant gases.
